SORELLE FERRI Azienda Agricola is made up of three sisters, Silvia, Monica and Marina; born and raised in the countryside and used to enjoying the seasonality of the authentic products of their parents and grandparents.

 

The company has always had a family dimension, where everyone helped as much as possible and respect for the land and the animals was always fundamental.
After various work experiences in different fields, the passion for honey was born.

Now it is their job to retrieve the excess honey that the bees have collected in the honey chamber.

What they lock up in their cells, we pour into the glass jar.

It undergoes no treatment and is manually filtered after extraction to remove impurities and small pieces of wax.
We let it rest for about 20 days, after which we can put it in jars.

We personally take care of the bees, in our small company immersed in the unspoiled green of the Tuscan Maremma.
Our production is about Wildflower and Sweet Chestnut honey.

SORELLE FERRI Azienda Agricola consists of approximately 30 hectares of which a small part is forest, 4 hectares of olive grove and 1 hectare of vineyard.
We also grow our vegetable garden and saffron, which are only a small part of the business.
The land has always been cultivated with cereals and fodder for livestock.

Here the bees fly peacefully and happily, away from pollution and dangerous pesticides.
The area is called FraTenuti, hence the name of the honey.

Miele Millefiori = Wildflower honey, it is a legal term to say that this honey is made with different types of flowers.
While if you find the term ‘Monoflora‘ it means that it is made only (or at least 90%) of one type of flower.

Properties of wildflower honey

It is useful in treating flu conditions, helps to soothe cough and has antibacterial functions.
This is a valuable source of energy, useful for children (over 2 years), pregnant women, convalescents and the elderly.
In addition, according to some studies, wildflower honey is very useful in combating seasonal allergies.
