Honey from Tuscany has lots of variety and flavors.
Here, the bees have a nice life by a mild climate and a clean environment.
WHAT IS HONEY? AND WHERE DOES IT COME FROM?

Honey is a natural liquid sweet substance that is formed when honey bees collect nectar from flowers and then process it.

The word miele (Italian for honey) probably comes from the Hittite melit.
For about a thousand years, honey was the only sugar-based product available.
Ancient peoples like the Egyptians, the Sumerians, the Babylonians and the Romans used honey extensively and not only as food.
The healing properties of honey are numerous.
Antibacterial (hot milk and honey for a sore throat) with nutritional properties, especially after an illness or for people with a sugarless diet.
Honey and its by-products (Royal jelly and Propolis) are also widely used in cosmetics. You can recognize whether a honey fair of origin by reading the label precisely and he must have at least the following information:

TYPE OF HONEY e.g. Wild flowers, Acacia, Orange blossom etc.
BEEKEEPER’S NAME or COMPANY NAME with the code (in Italy to produce and sell honey, you must have attended a beekeeping course and registered with the beekeeper-registry with your own code).

COUNTRY OF PRODUCTION e.g. Tuscany – Italy or Italy. 

PRODUCT AND / OR MANUFACTURED FROM Here you must specify the name of the company or person who has extracted and packaged honey with address and registration code.
It can be the same for beekeeping, but it can also be done by someone else.

PESO NETTO= NET WEIGHT Honey weight without the jar

LOTTO No= LOTTO Nr. It is a type of code created only for a specific batch of honey.

With some packages you can also find the following ‘Sigillo di garanzia’ ,but what does it mean?

    This honey is always very light in color, it never crystallizes, so it always has a liquid and syrupy consistency.
