Herbs and spices in our range are grown and processed in Tuscany, they have special aromas and flavors, and are suitable for every kitchen.

They have special properties, smells and tastes.
All the flowers and plants are grown organically or biodynamic and processed in a sustainable way.


Herbs are native to temperate countries and consist mainly of woodless leaves and stems.
Green plants are used both fresh and in dried form.
Herbs have more fragrance when fresh

Spices usually come from countries with a subtropical or tropical climate.
They consist of plant parts, such as: roots, seeds, stamens, pods, fruits, bark and flower buds.
Most spices can be found in dried or powdered form and have a gooey scent.

    ORGANIC SAFFRON STIGMAS Jar  is a spice derived from the flower of Crocus sativus, commonly known as the “Saffron Crocus”. The vivid crimson stigma and styles, called
    threads, are collected and dried for use mainly as a seasoning and coloring agent in food.
    It is completely handmade.

    This product is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

    How to use: Saffron pistils require longer processing time than powder, but are tastier. Before use, the pistils should be soaked in warm water for about 30 minutes. In a small bowl put the quantity of pestles you need [max 4 pestles per person], add the lukewarm water and close with a lid or a plate; this is necessary in order to preserve the aroma and the important substances.

    TIP: Many recipes with Saffron can be found on the internet, the most famous Italian recipe is: “Risotto allo Zafferano” [Rice with Saffron].
