By woods and Mediterranean scrub, the Farm is halfway from the green and relaxing slopes of Monte Amiata and the gorgeous scenery offered by the Tyrrhenian coast. In addition to the agricultural activities, the Farm runs the Belvedere agritourism, where guests can enjoy the beauty and the serenity of an untouched Maremma.
The Farm produces Wine, extra virgin Olive Oil, Saffron, Jams, natural Soap, Chili Pepper and Spelt.

    ORGANIC SAFFRON STIGMAS is a spice derived from the flower of Crocus sativus, commonly known as the “Saffron Crocus”. The stigmas, called threads, are collected and dried to be used mainly as condiments and dyes in food. It is completely collected and handcrafted.

    This product is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

    How can it be used: Saffron stigmas in contrast to the powder requires more processing time, but it is better. To use the stamps must be soaked in water for about 30 minutes. In a small bowl lay the amount pistils you need [max.4 pistils per person], put the water there and finish with and lid or a plate; This is necessary to preserve the aroma and important substances. 1 or 2 saffron stigmas can also be used in herbal teas or citrus infusions

    TIP: Many recipes with Saffron can be found over the internet, the most famous Italian recipe: “Risotto allo Zafferano” [Rice with Saffron].

    The name is after the presence around the vineyard of blooming woods of strawberry-tree, called in the area “Albatro” and the fruits “Albatrelle”.     The name comes from the presence of Juniper trees around the vineyard and from its famous violaceous blue berries. Distilling the berries we obtain a syrupy essential oil called “Juniper Essence”, the perfect name for this intense and well- structured DOCG wine.

    The name is after the fact that in the vineyards and, more in general, in the farm there are many plants of century cork-tree, that in the maquis represent without doubts the longevity. The vineyards from which we obtain this wine are young, with enormous potential, granted by a medium structure of the soil, it is poor in organic substances and minerals and therefore suitable for production with low yields but high quality.

    WINE FEATURES: Intense ruby red colour, brilliant with garnet reflections. Intense and persistent bouquet with scents of vanilla, tobacco and little ripe fruits as blueberry and cherry preserved in alcohol.
    Dry taste, tasty with very good tannins and long persistence in the mouth. For its structure and tannic component the wine gives its best after 2 years from the harvest, refining well for other 10 years.
