BREZZI OLIVIERO Ditta was founded three generations ago.
The current owner Gian-Paolo Brezzi is passionately dedicated to the processing and sale of black and white truffles.

His passion began when he was a child.
He, together with his grandfather Oliviero and his uncle Osvaldo, went in search of Bianchetti truffles in the pine forests along the coast of Maremma Toscana.

In addition, there was a mythological story that fascinated Gian-Paolo and fueled his passion for truffle hunting…

‘It was said that the ancients believed that the truffle had a divine origin.’
‘It was believed that the truffle originated at the place where Jupiter fired his lightning bolts.’

For centuries, the ‘creation’ of this fruit of the earth has been surrounded by an aura of mystery and has always evoked magical images in people.

In addition, for a certain period, truffles were a product for a few.
The reason very limited quantity and then because of the costs.

In reality, truffle is an underground mushroom, a gift of nature.
The origin of this fruit lies between the roots of centuries-old Oaks or Poplars and is then brought to light by trained dogs.

As an adult, Gian-Paolo followed his grandfather’s example: he became a truffle expert and deepened his processing techniques.

In his artisanal laboratory ‘Tartufi di Brezzi Gian Paolo‘ both black and white truffles are processed.
Packaging takes place in the form of: Creams, sauces, flakes and whole truffles.

To this day, this laboratory is the best known and most appreciated in the region and beyond.
