FYI: What is the difference between linguine and spaghetti?
This question is not surprising, because linguine is very similar to spaghetti. Yet they are completely different types of pasta.
So, what is the difference? Linguine is made of thin, flat strips, while spaghetti is made of long, round strands.

How much linguine per person?

Are you serving a delicious pasta tonight? For a main course for adults, use 100 to 125 grams of uncooked, dried pasta per person.
For smaller eaters, children or starters, you can use 80 grams.

General information:

Linguine (plural of Italian: linguina, tongue) are an elongated type of pasta with a lens-shaped cross-section, made from durum wheat flour. They are wider than spaghetti and resemble fettuccine but are narrower and are also called bavette or trenette. A thinner version is called linguettine.

Linguine is a dish originating from Genoa and is part of Ligurian cuisine. Among the most famous dishes are Linguine alle vongole and Trenette al pesto.
Since linguine is thicker than spaghetti, it takes longer to cook.
