Description
Organic Olive Oil IGP250 is an extra virgin with a fruity taste. It goes well with cooked or raw vegetables, fish and meat and excellent as a dressing for soups. Particularly recommended for traditional Italian dishes.
N.B. This extra virgin olive oil is not suitable for deep-frying.
AZIENDA AGRICOLA GRAMINETA produces its organic olive oil from 4 varieties of olives: Frantoiano- Moraiolo- Correggiolo – Leccino. Each extra virgin olive oil has unique properties, this is due to: type of olive,
land where the olive trees are grown and how they are cared for.
Olio extra vergine di Oliva = Olive oil extra virgin.
Olive oil extra virgin, obtained from the first pressing of ripe olives, picked by hand and pressed within the end of the day. Processing takes place via mechanical processes without the addition of chemical substances.
In addition, the acidity of this olive oil should not exceed 0.8%.
TOSCANO: Tenuta Gramineta is affiliated with the ‘Consorzio olio Toscano IGP’ (Consortium Tuscan Olive Oil).
It aids and protects the production of olive oil produced in Tuscany.
Finally, after a careful analysis and thanks to a European regulation, we can put the following on the label:
“The polyphenols in extra virgin olive oil contribute to the protection of blood lipids against oxidative stress.

Toscano means that the company is a member of Consorzio Olio di Oliva Toscano (Consortium for Tuscan Olive Oil). The function of the consortium is to protect the production and quality of extra virgin olive oil in Tuscany.

Amount of Polyphenols in Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
There is no absolute value of the total quantity of polyphenols to express a specific value with respect to the actual quality of the oil and its characteristics.
It is certain that a good extra virgin olive oil must contain at least a number of polyphenols higher than 200 mg/kg.
Polyphenols and Flavor.
There is a relationship between the polyphenols and the aromatic taste of the oil, but it is very latent.
In fact, according to some studies, polyphenols are responsible for the bitter and spicy notes of extra virgin olive oil, but also the variety of olives, the production area, cultivation and extraction techniques can influence the aromatic taste.
